David Kapianidze, Head of Tax Law Practice, BMS Law Firm, clarified that presently in the event of any excessively collected insurance premiums in the period by January 1, 2017, the provisions of Article 79 of the Russian Tax Code cannot be applied. “The issue of refund in this case has not been settled by law. The purpose of the proposed bill is to fill this gap left by statute”.
