Being positive in his evaluations of the introduction of electronic document flow, Timur Khutov, Head of Criminal Law Practice, BMS Law Firm, noted that as is often the case with any good idea, its implementation leaves much to be desired: the workings of the electronic document flow in general courts is rather poor.
“As for the order regulating the procedure for submitting documents to justices of the peace, it will facilitate their work and save time for parties involved. However, it requires relevant technical facilities which are still unavailable, and which means that actually the possibility to submit documents to a justice of the peace through electronic channels of communication is missing”, Timur Khutov emphasized.
